The Quezon City Government through the Sikap Buhay Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Office will hold the “Livelihood Bazaar sa QC” on Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Amoranto Multi-Purpose Hall Parking Area, Scout Chuatoco, Brgy. Paligsahan, Quezon City.
The Bazaar will showcase quality products from clients of the City’s 11-year-old micro-credit program Puhunang Pangkaunlaran ng Sikap Buhay (PPSB). These home-based, women-producers represent the City’s 6 Micro Financing Institution Partners: Caritas Salve Credit Cooperative, Cooperative Rural Bank of Bulacan (CRBB), UpLift Philippines, ASA Philippines Foundation, Center for Community Transformation Credit Cooperative (CCT) and Bagbag Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BMPC). Merchandise on sale include: a.) Wearables such as Kid’s apparel, pants, blouses, fashion accessories, bags, belts and slippers; b.) Giftware like coin purses, rosary décor, bayong made of pleje, picture frames, figurines, pencil cases made of junk food wrapper, and wind chimes; c.) Housewares like bedsheets, pillowcases, blankets made of pranela and cotton, dishwashing liquid & fabric conditioners, liquid bleach made of coconut gel, foam net, fish net and d.) Processed Food such as ube halaya, sautéed bagoong, coco jam, empanada, home-made pizza, bread cookies and more.
Everyone is invited to visit the Bazaar and purchase the products on sale. By doing so you’re supporting the efforts of the “nanay-entrepreneurs” from the informal sector of the City.
