The Office for Senior Citizens Affairs deals with the receiving of communication from other offices, issuing of nationally uniform ID for senior citizens as well the Purchase Slip Booklet for medicine and 5% PSB for basic necessities and prime commodities; assists the SSDD volunteer workers for their duties and responsibilities; monitors establishments violating RA 9257 otherwise known as the “Expanded Senior Citizens Act” and assist the senior citizens complainants by our legal officer; disseminates information about senior citizen privileges from various barangay and establishments; organizes senior citizen association and attending their induction of their new officers.

OSCA Services

 

The primary service OSCA renders to the public is the issuance of National Uniform Senior Citizens Identification (ID) Cards to legitimate senior citizens of Quezon City.

Requirements for Availing of These Services

* To be eligible for a Senior Citizen's ID Card, an applicant must be:
o a Filipino citizen,
o at least 60 years old, and
o a resident in the City for at least 6 months

An applicant must also submit the following:
o An Application Form (available at the OSCA office) duly accomplished,
o A recent 1" x 1" ID photograph, and a photocopy of any of the following documents:
+ Voter's ID (Comelec)
+ Driver's License
+ NBI Clearance
+ Police Clearance
+ Old Residence Certificate
+ Postal ID
+ Any combination of identification documents confirming the applicants name, date of birth and present address.

* When applying for replacement of a lost Senior Citizen's ID Card, an applicant must:
o Submit two (2) copies of an Affidavit of Loss
o Submit two (2) copies of a Police or Barangay Report, and
o Pay an ID replacement fee of one hundred pesos (P100.00)
