6th Floor, Civic Center Building A, City Hall Compound The Task Force for the Control, Prevention and Removal of Illegal Structures and Squatting is tasked with the enforcement of all demolition and eviction orders issued by the City. Formerly attached to the City Engineering Department, COPRISS is now attached directly to the Office of the City Mayor. Its enforcement operations are carried out strictly within the limits provided for by law.
The City's demolition activities are aimed at clearing streets and sidewalks of all obstructions and illegal structures, so as to ensure the safe and unimpeded traffic of pedestrians and vehicles.
The City's anti-squatting activities are in compliance with Republic Act No. 7279, also known as the Urban Development and Housing Act, or UDHA.

Requirements to Avail COPRISS Services
Requests, complaints and other such communications pertaining to illegal structures and to squatters must be addressed, not to COPRISS, but to:

If the complainant is the owner of the property on which the illegal structure has been constructed, a copy of the Transfer Certificate of Title (TCT) must be attached to the letter of complaint or request for demolition or eviction.
