 EARTHQUAKE

  • Remember the unstable areas and plan for safe way to escape

 

  • Repair weak and defective structures

 

  • Save oneself under the table, bed or jamb

 

  • Avoid posts and electrical lines

 

  • Avoid high-rise buildings, beware of falling objects

 

  • Avoid elevated places

 

  • Do not cross the bridge

 

  • Tie the things which fall easily

 

  • Secure the hanging objects

 

  • Calmly go down the stairs, not the elevator

 

  • Listen to accurate information

 

  • Turn off electricity and gas

 

  • Leave a message if you go somewhere

 

  • If not important, do not use the telephone

 

 FIRE

 

  • Organize a Fire Brigade

 

  • Take part in the Rescue Drill

 

  • Remember the Emergency contact numbers

 

  • Tell the people when inside their house to evacuate immediately

 

  • Destroy the fire while it’s still small

 

  • Be calm, don’t panic

 

  • Crawl out to avoid smoke

 

  • Be concern and join the fire drill

 

  • Participate in the first aid drill

 

  • Secure first the children, elderly and disable

 

  • Close the door, to avoid the entering of smoke

 

  • Put rags or blanket to the door

 

  • Roll on the ground when the clothes are burning

 

  • Do not return to the burning house to avoid danger

 

 STORM / FLOOD

 

  • Be aware of what’s going on for immediate preparation

 

  • Learn to understand a Flood Marker

 

  • Do not pass through roads with high flood waters

 

  • Do not pass through flood waters to avoid injuries and diseases

 

  • Avoid trips when the roads are flooded. Don’t pass through rivers.

 

  • Always listen to the weather announcements before making trips. Better to stay at home

 

  • Always find safe places for evacuation

  • Store enough food and drinks
