QC warns vs summer diseases
Quezon City authorities warned the public to be on the lookout for symptoms of communicable diseases common during the summer months to deter the spread of the ailment to other family members.
Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista diseases like measles, sore eyes, chicken pox, boils, flu and other similar sickness are very common especially in crowded communities during the dry months.
He asked individuals showing signs of any of the ailment to immediately seek medical assistance to cure the diseases before the disease worsens and becomes incurable.
For families in depressed communities, Bautista assured that they would also be given medical attention similar to those given to affluent families saying that the city’s health centers are prepared to extend their services to the poor.
“What we are trying to prevent is an outbreak that is why we are jumping the gun and closely monitoring cases of these ailments,’’ Bautista added.
Bautista also called on the barangay health workers to check the supply of the needed medicines for common ailments to prevent the spread of contagious diseases.
