The search,also known as Barangay Power 2012: Malinis, Kanais-nais, was launched by the Metro Manila DevelopmentAuthority (MMDA) in an effort to motivate and encourage   the 1,705 barangays comprising Metro Manilato maintain cleanliness in their respective areas of jurisdiction.  Awarding of winners will be held on November7.  

Joining Ms. Rentoy during the programlaunching are MMDA general manager Corazon Jimenez and Juan Jovian Ingeniero, QuezonCity-Department of Interior and Local Government (QC-DILG) director.
