| Quezon City Continue to Provide Logistical Support to QCPD |

The Quezon City government continues to extend equipment and logistical support to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) to enhance operational capability and keep up with the demands of maintaining peace and order.
Last Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Flag Raising Ceremony at the Quezon City Hall; Mayor Herbert Bautista led the turnover ceremonies of sixty (60) motorcycle units to the QCPD. Accepting on behalf of the Philippine National Police was QCPD District Director, Chief Supt. Mario O. Dela Vega. The QCPD will have better mobility aboard motorcycles and have a better chance of running after criminals. According to Supt. Nelson Abalos, chief of the QCPD District Logistics Division; they are still studying how the new motorcycles will be distributed. Last March19, 2012, the QC government also turned-over equipment and vehicles to the QCPD (see related article). These consisted of handheld and base radios with extra batteries and 44 units of various patrol vehicles.
