|QC Adds More Socialized Housing Projects|
Completed units at Bistekville 2, being prepared for occupation
The Quezon City government is primed to expand the beneficiaries of socialized housing project as it targets to accomplish 800 housing units for underprivileged families of the city by the end of this year.
In a report provided by Secretary to the Mayor and Housing Task Force Chairman Tadeo Palma, negotiations have already begun for the project plans and other related concerns for the construction of Bistekville III in Barangay Escopa and Bistekville IV in Barangay Culiat.
In line with this, the Quezon City Association of Filipino-Chinese Businessmen Inc. led by Bobby Chua-Ching expressed their support to the city's project by financing 10 units in either of the two barangays.

Mr. Palma added that the additional socialized housing projects: Bistekville V in Barangay Payatas and Bistekville VI in Barangay North Fairview are now likewise in the pipeline. Both villages are expected to accomodate more than 200 families.
He also said that: "Mayor Bautista indeed wants to fast track the development of his socialized housing projects to provide decent resettlement homes for the city's underprivileged residents, particularly the responsible poor."

Bistekville I in Barangay Payatas and and Bistekville II in Barangay Kaligayahan, the first two socialized housing projects, were completed on January 2012. More than 22 families have already moved in at Bistekville I while 44 others are set to occupy their new abode on June 12.
