Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista signed into law ordinance SP-2154 institutionalizing the Quezon City Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (QC-TIPC) which aims to promote and maintain industrial peace in the city. The ordinance highlights the importance of industrial peace to achieve national growth, development and social justice.

In SP-2154, the council shall foster labor, government and management partnership for greater productivity to complement the current economic efforts in the vision to make the city an ideal community where people live, work and do business.

The Council is likewise expected to serve as a consultative body for labor management programs and issues.

QC-TIPC will be led by the Mayor as the Council Chairperson and the Regional Director of DOLE-NCR as Co-Chairperson. The management and labor sectors will be given 11 spots each in the council that will be composed by 5 officers and 6 members.

Necessary implementing rules and guidelines shall be formulated and issued by the Quezon City Council.
