It is the permanent home of the local government’s Construction Permits One-stop Shop, where all applications for building permits can now be received at the ground floor of BRO. New applications for locational clearance related to new building construction will also be received at the One Stop Shop ground floor receiving area, as part of the streamlined application process for construction permits.
The Department of Building Official frontlines BRO services, but the building also houses the City Planning and Development Office at the 4th floor. The CPDO is the Zoning Administrator of the city. Applications for renewal of locational clearances should be filed at the 4th floor of BRO.
Another occupant is the Office of the City Architect which is in-charge of designing the special infrastructure projects of the local government. Thus far, it is only the QC-LGU which has a focused office in-charge of architectural design for local public infrastructure.
The Bureau of Fire Protection will also be provided office space in BRO as part of their function of fire safety inspection certification of new buildings.
Occupying the 6th floor is the Environmental Protection and Waste Management Department which issues the local environmental clearance for projects.
