The Local Government of Quezon City is in search for a principled leader who will serve as its University President. He/She will be responsible for communicating the University’s vision, mission, and values to both internal and external stakeholders as well as support and enhance the institution’s academic mission and overall operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a natural-born citizen of the Philippines;
  • Must be at least forty (40) years old on the date of his or her application for the position
  • Must be a holder of an appropriate earned doctoral degree;
  • Must have at least five (5) years of relevant administrative experience; and
  • Must possess leadership and managerial skills within the purview of the needs, thrusts, goals and objectives of the Quezon City University.

QC residents given 7 days to clear road obstructions


The Quezon City government on Saturday has issued notices of violations to concerned residents and establishment owners asking them to remove objects and structures extending beyond the property line, following the city’s continuing clearing operations.

July 1, 2019.  Mayor Joy Belmonte addressed Quezon City government employees at her first flag raising ceremony as mayor.  She assured contractual employees that their contracts will be renewed, recognizing their contributions in service delivery and the continuous operations of the city government.  In fact, in the previous week before her formal assumption into office, she already sent a memo to heads of departments and other operating units to submit recommendations on the renewal of contracts of their employees, together with an evaluation of each of their performance.  She had given permission to the Health and Social Services Departments to order their contractual employees to report for duty, so that these vital services will continue to proceed.

Quezon City Mayor Josefina G. Belmonte and Vice Mayor Gian Carlo G. Sotto led the oath taking of Quezon City officials at 12 noon of June 30, 2019, at the ABS CBN Tent at Vertis North, Quezon City.  The officials took their oath of office before Supreme Court Justice Estela M. Perlas Bernabe.

Mayor Joy Belmonte has taken her oath of office today, June 30, 2019, as the 11th mayor of Quezon City, the second woman to assume the city’s highest post, next to Adelina Rodriguez who served as mayor from 1976 to 1986. She took her oath with Vice mayor-elect Gian Sotto, together with the Congressmen and City Councilors of Quezon City.
